Acumen aims to provide architects with the most relevant and up-to-date advisory material and news about managing an architectural practice and managing architectural projects. The collective input and experiences of architectural practitioners and other professionals gathered over many years has been distilled into a dynamic database of information that puts answers to everyday questions at your fingertips.
The Institute’s National Practice Committee has overseen the transition of the Advisory Notes service to this new format and will continue to have an important monitoring role in its ongoing content development. Based on the Advisory Notes, Acumen is an important resource for maintaining high standards in architectural practice. The move to online delivery also underlines the Institute's acknowledgment of our responsibility to evolve member services that are more sustainable and contemporary. Feedback consistently tells us that members want access to reliable information at their desktop and Acumen is designed to meet this need as well as having the ability to be flexible and responsive to practice issues as they arise.
You will see many improvements to Acumen over coming months and we ask for your patience as we implement new features and functions. We welcome any feedback you might have and hope that in time you will consider Acumen an essential resource for your practice.
