Working on or near boundaries

Working near a boundary may pose a myriad of complex legal problems or it may be straightforward. While the resolution of these issues is more closely related to the practice of law than the practice of architecture, it is nevertheless important that architects have some understanding of the basic legal framework that lawyers will use to deal with these kinds of problems. Perhaps more importantly, architects should know when to advise their clients to seek legal advice.
