Public liability insurance, also called 'Broadform or General liability' insurance, is insurance against a practice's liabilities for injury or damage to a third party, arising out of the practice's ownership or occupation of premises and their use, activities on the premises and conduct away from them while undertaking the practice’s business. It indemnifies the practice against all sums for which the practice becomes legally liable to pay damages up to the nominated limit of liability noted in the policy schedule in respect of:

  • accidental bodily injury to persons
  • accidental loss or damage to property arising in connection with the conduct of the business and/or ownership of premises.
