OHS overview

The physical environment provided by our buildings – factories, offices, hospitals, schools, etc – is a significant factor in ensuring that workplaces are as safe as possible. Building codes and regulations provide for basic safety, but these are only minimum standards. Improvement in workplace safety will only be achieved if all factors are addressed holistically and this must include greater attention being given to safe design principles.
