Floor tiles

Whilst some specifications may state 'slip-resistant tiles' or 'non-slip tiles' are to be incorporated, this is seldom quantified. Consequently, when finishes are being selected, slip resistance can be a subjective assessment. This should be of concern, due to actions against building owners for injury sustained by persons slipping on floor finishes considered dangerous and which can then result in claims of negligence against architects for specifying unsuitable materials.
