Staff social functions can be an important team-building exercise. They reward staff for their hard work and provide them the opportunity to relax and celebrate with their colleagues. Whilst Christmas parties and other seasonal celebrations can be of great value to all parties involved, there are risks that if not managed appropriately can turn a joyous and enriching time into a workplace nightmare.
