Accessible adult change facilities

An accessible adult change facility is a type of sanitary compartment that provides a suitable toilet for people with a complex or profound disability who are unable to use standard accessible toilets and often need the assistance of one or two support persons/carers to assist with transferring to use the toilet.

The National Construction Code (NCC) 2019 Building Code of Australia (BCA) Volume One Clause F2.9 requires the provision of this facility, which must be constructed in accordance with Specification F2.9.
