Quality control in preparing specifications and schedules

Specifications are written descriptions of a technical nature for materials, equipment, standards and quality, and are used by architects to communicate the project requirements and schedules to the contractor. Specification schedules are becoming increasingly relied upon, with technical specifications being used as back-up information. While both are issued to the contractor, the specification schedules are used on a day-to-day basis.
