Santos Headquarters was the first building in South Australia to achieve both the 5 Star Green Star Office Design and the 5 Star Green Star Office As-Built certified ratings. It also achieved a 4.5 Star Australian Building Greenhouse Rating and has become a highly regarded work environment by its occupants. In this paper the architects and services engineers provide a review of the design process, the passive and active design elements, the challenges, positive outcomes and lessons learnt.
