Requests for issuing certificates

Increasingly, owners, project managers and developers are asking architects to issue certificates to financial institutions and other regulatory authorities. In a typical certificate, architects are asked to state that the project is constructed in accordance with the contract documents – even though the architect has not undertaken the contract administration and may visit the site infrequently – or that a design complies with the requirements of the National Construction Code (NCC) and/or Australian Standards (AS).
