The cases of Carosella v Ginos and Gilbert Pty Ltd and others (Judgement Notes 5334 of the South Australian Supreme Court, 5 March 1981, transcribed in BIAS, May 1981; reported in IV AFCC 37) and District of Surrey v Church (76 DLR (3d) 721) highlight the importance of stating any qualifications to reports, designs or any other form of 'advice' given by a design professional which may be acted upon by others.
