The Building Act 2016 (Tas) (the Act) and the Building Regulations 2016 (the Regulations) are the main pieces of legislation that regulate building (construction), plumbing and demolition work in Tasmania. Together they set out the required standards for works and the processes for obtaining permits and resolving disputes.
