Fitness for purpose

In recent years there has been an increase in government- and client-generated contracts that have introduced direct or indirect requirements which require within the scope of architectural services the provision of an outcome which meets a 'fitness for purpose' test. This contracts the architect to provide a warranty relating to the quality and performance of the outcome resulting from their service.
